Seattle Children’s Emergency Department Shell Expansion aims to create a safe and welcoming space for children and their families during stressful and traumatic events. The project scope includes a wing expansion with four 4 General Treatment Rooms and 3 Behavioral Health Rooms.
Throughout the project, ZGF collaborated closely with the client, users, consultants, and contractors to ensure we met the project’s needs. We conducted regular site visits and meetings with the contractors to ensure that the project was progressing according to the design intent and that all construction was in compliance with the design documents.
Overall, this project represents a successful collaboration between the design team, consultants, contractors, and the client. The result is a warm and inviting children’s emergency department that provides a high level of care to all patients.
